Today within this place
Is dancing to be seen
Whose superhuman grace
Perfection doth demean.

And if of this display
Thou disapproving art,
Yon moon will shed his ray
E'en in they gloomy heart.




Èmrôz dar în khâneh kasî raqsân ást,
Ke kûll-e kamâl pîsh-e ôu nûqsân ást.

Var dar tô ze enkâr raghî jûnbân ást,
Ân mâh dar enkâr-e tô ham tâbân ást.




Vocabulary


Èmrôz = Today
Dar în = In, within
Khâneh = House, place
Kasî = Someone
Raqsân ást = Is dancing
Ke = That, which
Kûll = Entire, the whole
Kamâl = Perfection
Pîsh-e Ôu = In front of He/she
Nûqsân = Loss, deficiency
Var = "Va Aghar", means If
Tô = You
Ze = an abridged form of "Áz", means from
Enkâr = Denial, disapproval
Ragh = Vein
Jûnbân = Moving
Ân Mâh = Yon Moon
Ham = Also
