Sobh Bekheyr1

Goodmorning

Ruba'ie #31

OUR barque before Love's breath
Sailed from the bourn of death;
Love's wine, when hearts unite,
Illuminates our night.

Wherefore with that same wine
Blest by this faith of mine
Until death's dawn shall break
My thirst I'll ever shake.

.Bâ èshq ravân shôd áz ádam markab-è mâ,
Rûshan ze sharâb-è vasl, dâ'em shab-è mâ.

Zân mey ke harâm nîst dar mazhab-è mâ,
Tâ subh-è ádam khushk nayâbî lab-è mâ.
